itching for a sweater

I have been ITCHING to knit a new sweater for myself, something for the fall/winter. I have been itching to do so for a few months and I think it's finally got to a point where if I don't buy yarn and cast on a sweater for myself I might start convulsing or frothing or...I don't know what. I would ask what is wrong with me, but I know you'll all just say "nothing". :D

There are a million sweaters I want to make. I need to decide on just the right one. Off to search.

I read your comment on Yarn Harlots blog about looking for a toe sock pattern. There's on in the Patons Yarns book #500988 entitled "Happy Feet" that's pretty good. I've made them for my daughter.

take care,

That pattern book looks right up your street Tara! I can just see you doing the Chevrons.

Join the club about the sweater itching. I'd love to go get my alpaca blend and do myself an aran. Alas.

And what about the masochistic twisty pattern type sweater thingy you were doing. You know, the one that makes me want to cry just looking at it?

In my quest for hand felting info I went to Knitpicks and, instead of giving me felting info, their search gave me sweater patterns. O_o McDoode, they had some nice ones. And Magknits (I know, I know, let me finish) has some cutesy cardigan patterns in its new issue.

ps. I'm stealing that link for the toe sock patterns. :p
