Being wonkified comes from wearing too much pink *ducks and runs*
Were they too big? If so, you have to hit the small button before uploading. You also have to post to see how it will really look because it's always wonky in the posting space. Other than those two things, I can't think of what might have gone wrong, but then I'm graphically challenged. That comes from being blonde...:P
You can go into the code for the link and add a tag to align it left or right so they don't just jumble up on you and your text wraps around it. Look for the bit that says width="whatever" height="whatever" and right after height="random number" hit the space key and then type align="right" or align="left" then another space after the closing quote et voila.
